What To Wear For Rainy & Cold Autumn Days
If like me, you love to get outside and enjoy the countryside, but still look stylish I’ve got some suggestions for what to wear for rainy and cold Autumn Days.
Just because the weather isn’t good, doesn’t mean you have to match it with a dreary outfit. In fact the country look is a growing trend and one I love with it’s wax jackets, chunky knits and tweeds.
As a keen walker I read a quote that resonated, it said “there’s no bad weather, just bad clothing” and I find the weather doesn’t actually bother me when I am wrapped up, with cosy and dry feet.
If these are clothes you are likely to be wearing regularly it is worth investing in items that will last and work hard for you. Brands like Barbour, Regatta and Hunter are all good options.
If you have a smaller budget, Marks & Spencer have some great options too in their Stormwear Collection.
For chilly but dry days, choose a quilted jacket and cosy knit, paired with walking trousers and boots with a good gripping tread.

For days that are wet and cold, a long water resistant, hooded coat, layered with a fleece gilet and long boots will keep you dry and warm.

If you want the countryside look in town, choose these key elements; a tweed jacket, chunky boots, a saddle style bag and hat. Mix up the textures with cord and suede.
